Friendly inquiry: I don't think the idea was to make /all/ bathrooms unisex, but if that had been the case, what problems do you see with that? And what other solutions did you have in mind?

Look, if i felt more comfortable looking like a girl (and in many cases you can see that I enjoy wearing garments of clothing intended for the opposite sex) but I still looked like a boy in everything but the makeup- IF I STILL HAD A PENIS I would use the men’s room.

Does everyone want to do that? Definitely not. Does it make sense for tansgendered folk to care? No. At least in my opinion. The same can be asked in the reverse. If everyone identified as a single sex and there were groups of people who wished to identify themselves as a different sex, would they really need to invent a whole different kind of bathroom?

There are so many important civil rights issues that need to be fixed but would forcing thousands of companies large and small to spend money to replace signs or waste money by disposing of them really help anything at all?

Would it really make a difference, at least at our current standing in the continuing battle for human rights, to have bathrooms not labeled?

More important, is it worth the extra arguments with people who actually care?

You know what, yeah. If you completely ignore everything i just said EXCEPT for that last sentence I’m pretty sure you can get where I’m coming from.

It doesn’t even matter. They’re signs. Men have dicks, girls have vaginas, some people have both and others feel as if they need the opposite of what they have. PICK A FUCKING BATHROOM.
