I think the best influence on young Jake was A Series of Unfortunate Events

I believed it was a true story more than anything. I followed the series to the end and when it was over, I was a little older and slowly discovering that it was all fiction was satisfying to me rather than disappointing.

It helped me understand what I felt about Judaism, to be honest.
